Host Family Needed

Y'all-

As has been mentioned on several occassions, we are looking for a second Host Family for our Wooster Foreign Exchange Student - starting sometime after the first of January. As you know, Mashiro has been and currently is living with Holly. Here are a few comments Holly wrote about her amazing "new daughter"! Please consider "hosting" Mashiro for the January - Marchish timeframe or the Marchish - first of June timeframe.

Mashiro is a delightful young woman who enjoys spending time with her host family, and has very easily become just another member of our family. Although she is quiet, she is quite sociable and has a terrific sense of humor. She does not readily initiate conversations, but eagerly engages when asked questions and drawn into a discussion.

As a typical teen, Mashiro really loves hamburgers and pizza, but is quite fond of Italian food, steaks, chicken and nearly any vegetable (other than carrots or peas.) She is also quite fond of dogs and cats, and she is now a favorite of our pets.

Mashiro is a happy young lady who's smile lights up the room. She is self motivated to complete her homework without prompting, and eagerly takes on simple household chores, often without being asked. I can't imagine having a better experience being a host family to an exchange student than we've had hosting Mashiro.

Valentine Dinner, February 15, 2018

On February 15, 2018 we are planning to have our annual valentines dinner. It will be held again at the Napa Sonoma restaurant at 7671 S. Virginia Street. We will be having a buffet style dinner similar to last year. Two meats and vegetables and salad will be served. A cash bar will be available for all drinks including sodas and coffee. A valentines sheet cake will be provided for desert. The cost for the dinner is $45 per person. The event is schedule to start at 6:00 pm with dinner available around 6:45. Please email me back at bburch1956@yahoo.com if you plan on attending. We have planned for around 40 people attending but still need to give them a final number prior to the event. Thanks everyone.
