Brian Kulpin, Brian is the Chief Marketing and Public Affairs Officer for the Reno Tahoe Airport Authority.  Did you know that the Airport Authority has 2,300 employees?  The airport is embarking on an expansion of the tired 40-year old terminal to allow for more and larger airlines and to have upgraded technology and amenities--including a parking garage that is also a hub for rental vehicles (no shuttles!).

The expansion will generate an estimated $2 Billion for the local economy and 4,000 jobs.  Estimated passenger traffic for 2023 is 4.7 million--above pre-times of 4.7 million passengers in 2019.

If you weren't there, you missed a great speaker.

Reno South Rotary has regular meetings (usually) on the first and third Thursdays AT GREAT BASIN BREWERY (McCARRAN & VIRGINIA STREETS) @4:15p.m.  Gather at 4:00.

November 3 speaker:   Professor Ramin Motamed, an associate professor of geotechnical engineering in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno.  Dr. Motamed works with the shake table at UNR (a prior vocational tour) He will speak about in-ground foundations--practical information and research.  Especially important in our area, as earthquakes are the #1 major risk for the area as a whole.

November 17 - District Governor Jeff Gabriel (Rotary Club of Bishop).  A very enjoyable and forward-thinking speaker.

December 1 - Mark Schauss - Russia and Ukraine

December 15 - Ashley Taylor, RMA, Care Management for an aging Population (that's all of us, actually)

How should Rotary Club of Reno South celebrate the holidays together?  It has been suggested that we emulate the "Friendsgiving" model and meet with a pot luck and perhaps celebratory games.  Any thoughts out there?

Jan  5 - TBD

Jan 19 - Grant Denton, Karma Box Project

April - Bus Trip
