Meeting March 8

Yale Spina, Sky Tavern

Where Sky Tavern is headed...

Kids learn to ski!

Sky Tavern is America's oldest and largest non-profit Ski & Snowboard Learning Program.  The National Ski Areas Association awarded Sky Tavern the 2021 NSAA Conversion Cup.  Conversion is the process of turning beginner skiers and riders into repeat customers, and ultimately lifelong enthusiasts of the sport.

Yale and his brother learned to ski at Sky Tavern--his brother won 2 medals at the Olympics, and Yale travelled all over the world competing in aerial competitions, so as President of the non-profit Board, he is giving back to our community.

Sky Tavern, with a long-term lease from the City of Reno, is planning a year round venue, Nordic skiing, and it will be the home of area high schools ski teams, as well as the Wolf Pack.
