Speaker Mallory Wakefield - "My Year in Mexico"
Our outbound exchange student gave an excellent presentation on her time abroad. She said it really broadened her view of the world. Her three host families were great.  Through Rotary she met students from many countries, Germany, Poland, Taiwan & Denmark.  She got to take many tours and her Spanish is now perfect!

2nd Speaker Chris Dewar - Exec Director
The First Tee of Northern NEVADA
The First Tee is a National School program which meets the national physical education standards by getting the children outside.  It teaches not only how to play a game but also helps boys and girls to become adults with healthy physical, emotional and social habits.  "The Four Way Test" is very similar to the First Tee goals.  Emphasis is on honesty, respect, courtesy and responsibility.  The programs goal is to increase community support and grow the program gaining a presence in all 65 schools in Washoe County of which 41 are Title 1 serving "at risk" students.  They also want to raise funds to train the PE teachers.

DAVE GALLOWAY - UPDATE
Dave Galloway is still in the Rehab Center and doing well.  He is feeding himself and working hard to use a walker so he can go home. Still could use visitors, preferably in the afternoon.

Thank you Ann Potts for taking the excellent notes and Jonnie Pullman for the photos.
