Reno South will be hosting Wheel of Fortune for the Veterans Home residents and giving prizes to the top three winners of each game. Afterwards, we will mingle and share See's Candies with all residents. Family and friends are welcome. The more the merrier. We have a Vanna but are still looking for someone to play the role of host, Pat Sajak or Ryan Seacrest. To volunteer, please contact Kate. The rest of us will assist Vets and be a supportive audience. |

Family Math Night, hosted by Nevada Math, is a fun event where families are exposed to math as the creative application of logic to solve complete problems. The math and logic focused activities include games, logic puzzles, art, and more. Activities are designed and selected for their ability to contribute to a student’s understanding of foundational math concepts, ability to logically organize their ideas, develop their problem-solving skills, and correct general misunderstandings about math. From 4:15 to 5PM, Nevada Math staff will train us on how to run the activity stations. From 5 to 7PM, we will engage with the students and families in activities that make learning math fun. |
