Service Meeting

Site Visit to Robinhood Park - Gather at 4:15
Matt Breviary, Reno Parks Maintenance Supervisor,  joined our small but mighty group to describe upcoming plans and possible projects

DID YOU KNOW that RSR built Robinhood Park in 1994 and then donated it to the City?  Truckee Meadows Parks Foundation describes the park as "Tucked amid a sea of apartments and asphalt sits a half-acre island of refuge for visitors and southwest Reno families living near Berrum Lane’s Anderson Elementary School."  Here's a link.

The City of Reno will invest $250,000+ to rebuild a part of the park--new play structure safety, new basketball court, remove the rock wall, etc.  We are working with Matt to find the best location for our next donation to the Park--a Little Free Library!

Stay tuned.

Program July 21 - Water in the Truckee Meadows

Bill Hauck, Water Supply Supervisor for Truckee Meadows Water Authority (TMWA), will present the latest data on upstream drought reserves, projections for Truckee River flows and how all that relates to our community’s water supply. Bring all questions you have on how TMWA plans for drought years like this one.

Due to a technology snafu, Bill was unable to present to us.  He is a hydrologist, has a master’s degree in water resources and has more than 20 years of experience coordinating the water supply for Washoe County and the Cities of Reno and Sparks.
