 Annual Reno South Attended KTMB
"Raise the River"

August is a difficult month--people on on their last attempt at vacations or trying to get the kids settled in school, so attendance is usually low.

In lieu of a regular meeting on August 18, several of our Rotarians attended a fundraising event for Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful.  This was useful for a few reasons--it was fun, to scout for fundraising ideas, to raise awareness of Reno South.

Fun was had by all, and we met with two future RSR speakers and prospective members, who will probably be at the meeting  on Sept 1.  Let's be sure to have more of us than the number of visitors!

International Opportunity
The Rotary Club of Agra Taj Mahal is having one of the last routine immunization campaigns January 6-8, and have visiting with local Rotarians and a tour on the menu.  If you haven't received an email, contact Jonnie (jonnie.pullman@gmail.com) for info.

Club photographer(s) needed!!!!!
Let Prez. Tori know if you can help...

RSR Traditions

The wine bus is back--some time!  Maybe not as good- looking as wine trams in France, but it's OUR tradition. Date will be confirmed.  Come to the meeting and get all the details...an event not to be missed.

Reno South Rotary has returned to Thursday meetings at the Claim Jumper @4:15p.m.

Regular meetings are on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays.  The 2d or 4th Thurs will be either a social or or service event.
______________

August 25 - Dark

September 1Reno Jazz Orchestra.  This is an amazing organization, with programs for students and budding musicians (Reno Jazz Youth Orchestra below).  Arts are increasingly important for economic development, and the RJO is an important component.  No fundraising, only education!

September 8 - Service Project TBD

September 15 - Steve Schroeder will share the history and development of the Reno Public Market (formerly Shopper's Square).  This is an important development, and we hope it will be the location of our regular meetings beginning in October or November.  Let's have a good crowd to welcome Steve!

September 22 - TBD

September 29 - TBD

The Program Committee needs YOU!  Meet via Zoom to share ideas and contacts for speakers, programs, vocational tours/visits, and service projects small or large.  Let Tori or Press know if you want to help--it's fun, and you can contribute to RSR's success.  Good programs mean good attendance, which increases membership.

The Rotary Club of Reno's fundraiser is  to celebrate and support their Bicentennial Park project is on September 13th from 5 - 7:30 pm. It's at the park, food trucks, raffle, tours of the garden: $85/person. For tickets and more info:
