 More Rotary News
Our fight against Polio has been impacted just as all other aspects of life. The silver lining is that our Polio Eradication teams and processes have been re-directed to participate in the world’s response to COVID-19.  RSR  was awarded a $2,000 matching grant, for a total of $4,000 to provide computers to WCSD students for those needing them to access distance learning.  Thank you Bob Stewart for making this happen.  The funds have been distributed.

Important for us to know:

- We are looking for ideas for hands-on service projects to take place after we are able to reassemble with normal social distances!  Suggestions so far include Food Bank, tree planting, Robinhood Park maintenance.  Do YOU have an idea??  Please let Adrienne know: athomle@msn.com or 763.438.2327 (m)

Some Zoom info:  Burnell Reliford is available to help anyone by "walking them through" how to connect to Zoom so everyone can attend our meetings (by Zoom) until we are able to see each other in person!  Jonnie Pullman can hold an individual practice meeting to work through the video and audio.

RSR Update for  Events & Programs:

ALL physical MEETINGS at the Atlantis ARE CANCELLED  until further notice.  Don't worry--we'll let you know!

REGL (Rotary Eighth Grade Leadership) is cancelled for this year, as Grizzly Ranch has been notified they cannot open until further notice.

Looking grim for Area 8 Speech or Music contests, so no youth programs this spring...except we believe we will be able to have reports from our incoming (Emily) and outgoing (a different Emily) RYE students before the end of the school year.  No word on when or if the State Department will issue any J-1 visas for foreign exchange students for the 20-21 school year.

Keeping in touch is important, so let Bob Stewart (rotarystewart@gmail.com) or Jonnie (jonnie.pullman@gmail.com) know of any news so we can put in in the bulletin, which will continue on at least a weekly basis.
