Vibrant Clubs Workshop 
 
Bob Stewart and Prez Press Clewe attended the District 5190 Vibrant Clubs Workshop on Saturday, September 10.  Bob reports that the sessions were well-prepared and relevant.  
 
 IMPORTANT DATES AND OPPORTUNITIES
 
2. Sept 14-18 - Volunteer to assist Reno Midtown Rotary staffing the ice cream and beer booths at the Air Races--we will split tips and wages depending on participation--so it is a FUNdraiser for RSR.  Prez Tori sent a detailed email to all members about this event--so check it out.  Parking passes are included for volunteers--there are lost of times open--let's help Reno Midtown and make some money!.  Click on link below to sign up.
 
3.  Sept 24, 8:30-1:30 - (2-4-hour shifts) Lithium and rechargeable batteries and battery powered E-waste recycling - Auto Museum on Mill Street.  RSR is partnering with Downtown Rotary for a service project to provide a much-needed convenient way for residents to rid themselves of unwanted "E-Stuff" without polluting our land and water.  Contact Jonnie (775.240.3426 or jonnie.pullman@gmail.com) to sign up.  We need 4-5 volunteers to keep the shifts to fewer hours.

The Rotary Club of Reno's fundraiser is  to celebrate and support their Bicentennial Park project is on Tuesday,  September 13th from 5 - 7:30 pm. Reno South Rotary has regular meetings on the first and third Thursdays at the Claim Jumper @4:15p.m.  Gather at 4:00. on the 1st and 
 
Program Sept 15

 

Steve Schroeder will join Reno South Rotary to share information about the history and development of the soon-to-open Reno Public Market (formerly Shoppers Square).

The food hall, which is the centerpiece of this development, will host 18 vendors, all locally owned.

Reno South hopes to hold our meetings there soon--so this is an important meeting.   Let's have a good crowd to welcome Steve!

September 22 - No meeting, but there is a joint service project with Downtown Rotary - help recycle e-waste and lithium batteries.  Contact Jonnie to sign up--we need one more person! Shift to be confirmed - event is from 9am to 1 pm at the Auto Museum.
