Geothermal Tour

Tour of Ormat Technologies' Geothermal plant in south Reno.

Meet at the US Bank parking lot at the Summit Mall by 12:30 pm. Bring a sack lunch or eat before the tour. The first tour is limited to 25 persons. An overflow tour will be scheduled at 2:00 pm, if necessary.

Remembering Dr. Bruce Pendleton

The memorial service honoring the life of Dr. Bruce Pendleton will be held on May 17th at 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Snows Church (1138 Wright Street - Reno). Doug has given us a pass to skip any District Conference activities in order to attend this memorial service.

Mike Alger: Stoves for Guatamalans

Speaker Mike Alger thanked RSR for supporting the effort to bring cooking stoves to remote Guatamalan families. These stoves keep the smoke out of their homes and out of their lungs. RSR donated $1,000 and members add another $1,100 to the fund through personal donations.

Know Your Rotarian

Look for President Doug's "Know Your Rotarian" game. He has a plan to ask you to get up and share some fun information about yourself with the club. He will be explaining it over the next few meetings so be ready to talk a little when your number comes up. You might even win the quarterly prize!
