 From the meeting May 28

Prez-Elect Bob Stewart led the club in a discussion to help us plan for the 2020-21 Rotary year, member engagement, and to learn what kinds of programs would be of interest to the club.

Members will receive a survey some time in June so that everyone can provide input, but some points were:

- What issues have you experienced with  RSR that if they were changed or solved would increase member engagement?
  • Lunch too expensive, parking an issue, more time for social interaction with fellow Rotarians and guests, reach out during meetings
  • More smaller, hands-on projects
  • Some lunch meetings at members' homes
- What makes Rotary valuable to you as a member of the RSR?
  • Community service and the positive impact of RSR on the community! (Achievement Beyond Obstacles, Robinhood Park, etc.)
  • Interaction/fellowship with RSR members, and connections for business and social activities
Are there traditions or customs in RSR that should be adapted to attract and retain members?
  • Use of technology for intermittent zoom meetings, or adapt so that members can attend from work/home when a physical meeting is held
  • Less formal
  • One meeting a month more social and in the evening instead of once a quarter

Surviving with Grace
Burnell Reliford reminds up to reach out to members we haven't heard from in a while.

Some Zoom info:  Burnell Reliford is available to help anyone by "walking them through" how to connect to Zoom so everyone can attend our meetings (by Zoom) until we are able to see each other in person!  Jonnie Pullman can hold an individual practice meeting to work through the video and audio.

Suggestion for those RSR members who are house-bound:  Visit Nevada! Roam from home...
