Reno South has joined the Volunteers of America and other local service groups in Operation Backpack, an effort to provide a backpack and school supplies to Reno's homeless and at-risk children.  We know the challenges these kids face--we've heard their stories in our pioneering program, Achievement Beyond Obstacles.  Our participation in this program will help these kids stay and succeed in school.

Kate Nickolls (kat.nick89519@gmail.com) is "on point" for this project.  You may contact her for more information or visit http://operationbackpackncnn.org .

You may choose to purchase a backpack and supplies and drop it off at a location listed on the web site, or bring to a meeting to give to Kate.  You can donate supplies, or $50 for a completely filled backpack.  Or any donation.  All of our donations stay in the community.

If you choose to donate $$, we suggest that you contribute to the Reno South Rotary Community FundRSR will aggregate the $$ and contribute all at once.
