Meeting October 15 and 22

On October 15, Paul Mitchell, PhD.  RSR attendees had a wide-ranging conversation with Dr. Mitchell, about "what's happening" in college and professional sports.  Our favorites pastimes are effected, not just by COVID, but by current events--such as Black Lives Matter--and our society as a whole.  In addition, sports affects our communities--witness the new Raiders stadium in Las Vegas.

More about the meeting:

Jonnie Pullman - $25.00 for a trip to Fly Ranch to see the Fly Geyser and see wild horses up close.

Kent Wood - $100 to ring the bell for his recent purchase of a Tesla sedan to keep Kimberly happy.

_______

On October 22, members gathered for a quick walk for End Polio Now and a chilly social visit at Plumas Bank across from Meadowood Mall.  It was especially fun seeing Adam (who we haven't fined yet for his new "trailer" and Patty (who was taking a break from 3 properties in escrow).

In addition, we gathered supplies for Hunter Lake School.  It's not too late to let Bob or Jonnie know if you have some supplies that you can contribute!

October 24 - World Polio Day.  Local Rotary clubs competed to raise funds by gathering pledges for walking--each person sets their own goal.  RSR raised $800 (and it's not too late for more.)  Please let Jonnie, Bob or Kyle know if you donated so we can ensure RSR stays on the map.
