Yo! Adrienne!

Our speaker on Thursday the 16th was

Paul Edwards, General Counsel for the NV Pharmacy Board (and licensed pyro--think fireworks--operator)

OK--you have to squint, but Paul shared many charts and graphs to explain how serious the opiod crisis is in our state and what we are doing about it. The largest group of abusers is white middle aged adults with prescriptions! Members stayed to ask questions--sure sign of a great speaker

Prez Adrienne presented Paul with our thank-you certificate of 5 polio vaccinations in his name. (Thank you to Justin Taylor for help with the pictures).

Jan DeAngeli remembered Bob Stewart's leadership in bringing in Phylis Diller to an RSR Fundraiser.

Kyle Whaley noted that Jonnie Pullman exemplified RSR's caring attitude for members and family.

Why joined Rotary: He was asked! (hint to current members) After joining and learning of all the good Rotary does, he was hooked.

is the date. Dan Carne gave an inspirational math lesson on why we have Oktoberfest (make $$ for our good works) and how we can help.

1-1-1

Each member bring:

- 1 gift certificate to a restaurant

- 1 bottle of wine

- 1 gift item (or another certificate) for the silent auction.)

Many hands make light work!

Sept 6 - DG Tina Spencer. She will have a basket to auction for Polio Plus. Adrienne asks RSR members to contribute wine & gift certificates for an auction basket for the next club she visits

Sept 8, 9:00 am @ TMCC - Avenues of Service Seminar. A great opportunity to meet Rotarians from all over the District and learn how we can each participate fully in our club and serve the community
