June 15th
The Year of the Doug!

June 14
Paul Harris Fellows +

President Doug honored our most recent Paul Harris Fellows:

Bob Stewart +2
Press Clewe +7
Kate Nickolls +2
Adrienne Thomle +4
John Howe +3
Holly Bromley +1
Megan Reese +2 (sadly, Megan missed being in the picture because she was being a MOM!)

The Paul Harris Fellow program recognizes individuals who contribute, or who have contributions made in their name, of $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.  The "plus" honors additional donations.

The honor was established in 1957 to show appreciation for contributions that support our Annual Fund, PolioPlus, or an approved Foundation grant.

June 14

Alexis Riggs earns her first Paul Harris Fellow.  Alexis has been a member for 2 1/2 years--we know her sponsor, Bodie, is mighty proud!

June 21 and forward!

We need volunteers for the Welcome Table

You may not be able to see them all, but the line has 2 more people to the left and goes out into the hall!  Help RSR be more welcoming by assisting Megan.  It's a chance to say "hi" to visitors and friends.  Can't sit next to everyone, you know--only 8 to a table.

We had a full house + today.  Come and join us.

The following "star" members celebrated significant events today! (Art from Playa Park in downtown Reno)

- Kent (Kimberly) Wood - 48th Anniversary
- Press (Delores) Clewe - 48th Anniversary + b/d
- Pete (Lynda) Sanborn - 43rd anniversary
- Dave (Linda) Galloway - 32nd anniversary and a birthday June 30 (he wouldn't say which one...)

- Holly (Richard) Bromley celebrated their 30th anniversary in London, after being the only toursist in history to return with a tan from 2 weeks in Scotland

- Kyle Whaley spent Memorial Day in Washington DC and environs with his family and visited with some amazing veterans. Also a birthday June 9 and a 30th anniversary (Lorna) coming up.

- Alexis Riggs celebrated recovering from knee surgery and also boosted "our next Sheriff" Heidi Howe

- Jason Morris celebrated his 4th (and last!) daughter, Mila Claire (picture?) 8 lb 7 oz.

- Darrell Armuth is recovering from his 45th class reunion in Winnemucca (!)

- Patty Ireland honored her nephew who just got his doctorate from Harvard and is returning to West Point to teach.  Wow.

Thanks to Press Clewe (pledge), Ann Potts (thought for the day and our faithful scribe), Jonnie Pullman (4-Way Test) and Heidi Howe (microphone)

Last, but not least, at the District Conference RSR was awarded Youth Project of the Year for Achievement Beyond Obstacles and the Governor's Citation for achieving 100% member participation in donating to Polio Plus.

Whew!  Til next week...

P.S. - Patty still needs one more volunteer for the table at Bob Feist Roping Invitational on Monday, 11-3 shift.  Call or text her @ 775.287.1464
