News from October 3 Meeting:

Rick Casazza of Colliers International updated us on the plans for renovation of Shopper's Square on the corner of South Virginia and Plumb Lane.

Rick is a member of the third generation to be involved with Shopper's Square since his family's ranch was situated on that property in the 1930's. The first commercial development was the Security Bank branch, which later became a Bank of America branch. Later came CVS. The shopping center is being renovated and will soon be re-branded as Reno Public Market, to include a food hall, co-working space and a brew pub with distillery. Plans also call for an artist co-op, a performance stage and a Sprouts grocery store. All renovations should be completed by Spring 2021.
