Diaz Dixon, Founder and CEO of 
Performance Driven Consulting, LLC, is an integral part of our community, having led Eddy House at the apex of their growth, and Step 2 for more than 10 years.  (Reno South Rotary installed a landscaping project for Step 2 during his tenure).  Diaz conducts seminars and speaks nation-wide, and he spoke to us about the importance of leading with love, and about his background and how we learned to be successful--very inspirational.  Diaz was Past-Prez Tori's mentor for many years, and she paid a recognition (formerly known as a fine!) in honor  of the inspiration he has provided to her.
 More About the Meeting
- Kent Wood  - was recognized for his and Kimberly's 53rd wedding anniversary.
- Joel Muller rang the bell in honor of his 33rd anniversary with Leslie AND being elected Vice Chair of the Community Foundation of Northern Nevada
- Press Clewe recognized his (ongoing) recovery from a septic knee.

The Rotary Club of Reno Sunrise is hosting a family-oriented evening fundraiser of miniature golf for fun, fellowship and fundraising:  friendly competition, sandwiches and soft drinks, all included in the price of a ticket.   All proceeds to the Rotary Club of Reno Sunrise Charitable Foundation and will go to the Desert Pigs. aa 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that removes illegally dumped trash from public lands.
 
Ticket prices are $35/adults, $25 for children age 10 and under

Join us at  Swill for the meeting of this Rotary year on Thursday, June 15. The meeting will begin promptly at 4:00 pm. and adjourn at 5:30 p.m.
 
Meeting on July 20- Alan Larson
 
Adam Larson is a Rotarian and an endurance sports enthusiast.  These 2 passions have combined into a crazy idea:  this October (on bike and foot0 he will carry a ShelterBox from Pyramid Lake along the Tahoe-Pyramid Trail to Lake Tahoe.  The trail follows the entire length of the Truckee River as it makes its way from one beautiful lake to another.
 
Join us at Swill to learn about what has inspired Adam to transport a ShelterBox along a 114 mile trail to raise awareness and funding for a Rotary-affiliated organization that provides disaster relief across the globe.

Annual Family Picnic at Burnt Cedar Beach - Incline Village, Lake Tahoe
 
Join us for one of Reno South Rotary's marquee events of the year!!
 
Kent Wood has reserved the "center" picnic area for us from 3-8 pm; however, the beach and pool facilities are available to our group all day. Costs for entry into the venue are $15 per adult and $5 for youth ages 6-17. Children under age 6 are admitted free.
 
Smoked BBQ ribs, shrimp kabobs, and grilled steaks will be served as the main entree along with side dishes provided by our members. Please plan to share your favorite "picnic" side dish as we gather together for a family-style dinner at approximately 5:30-6:00 pm. Also, plan to bring your own beverages, or beverages to share.
 
We will have a sign-up sheet at the demotion party!!
