  RENO SOUTH FUNDRAISER!!!!!

If you missed this one, you missed a grand time!  Chef Colin did a fantastic job. The food was amazing--the Committee members continue to field compliments.

Thanks to our indefatigable committee who planned the event, implemented "stuff" and delivered meals:  Tori DellaRocca, Denny Williams, Bob Stewart, Masih Madani, Kyle Whaley.  Special thanks to our moderator Denny Willimas, and to Tori and Bob, who delivered far into the hinterlands of Red Rock and Spanish Springs.

At the RSR Board meeting, it was decided that all cash gifts, including a very generous donation from Stan Goodin, would go directly into the Reno South Rotary Community Fund.  The remainder of the profits will support other club projects.

This week DARK AT NOON

May 1:  Spring Community Service Project - Planting Trees at Washoe Lake State Parkl!!

Join your fellow Reno South Rotarians this Saturday, May 1st at 10:00 am for tree planting at Washoe Lake State Park.  We will plant 20 trees in partnership with Trees R Us, a non-profit organization, created by 12-year-old Diego Madani and focused on tree planting to help fight global warming through environmental sustainability projects.

Bring your work gloves, a shovel, good humor and your morning beverage of choice to Washoe Valley on Saturday morning to help improve the landscaping in this beautiful State park.

The fastest and shortest route exits I-580 at old Rt. 395.  Follow it to East Lake Boulevard where you will turn left. Enter the park from East Lake Boulevard and tell the attendant at the gate house you are planting trees. There is no admission fee for us. Proceed to the T in the road and turn right. Follow the signs to the Equestrian Area where the asphalt turns into a gravel road where we will park. Masih is providing water and morning sweets.

So, get your Spring mojo on and come on down to Washoe Lake State Park to do some good in our community and the world!
