Talisker Whikey Atlantic Challenge - Solo!

Owen is just the 10th American to ever complete the Talisker Whiskey Atlantic Challenge, solo-- the 56-year old rowed 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean, arriving into English Harbour in Antigua on February 21st after 70 days 19 hours and 29 minutes at sea.

What's Ahead for RSR

Beginning July 1, Reno South Rotary is going solo(but not across the Atlantic), returning to Thursday and will no longer meet jointly with Reno Central Rotary. RSR's intrepid committee (Prez Bob, Prez-elects Tori and Press, VP Denny, and PP Jonnie) have been diligently scouring possible locations. Altho the Committee thinks it has an outstanding location beginning in October, we need an interim location, and believe we have found one! More info on this later.

Also, strongly under consideration is moving our meeting time to 4:00 p.m., which may attract some of the younger crowd, as well eliminate some "work crunch". Please let your Board members know your thoughts on this idea.

There will be all all-club meeting late May or early June, in the evening. Date and time will be shared as soon as it is decided.

Care Chest of Sierra Nevada

CARE Chest is a Northern Nevada nonprofit agency serving individuals in need by providing medical resources, free of charge--and has been doing this for our community for more than 30 years. They have greatly expanded their programs, including mobile clinics, and a club program to rent medical equipment.

Join us at the meeting and learn more--RSR Prez Bob will present Care Chest a check in honor of our long-time member, Denny Granata
