 From the meeting May 14

Michael Brazier, United Way of Northern Nevada and the Sierra presented information about a new program in Reno/Sparks to deliver meals to vulnerable community members.

Delivering with Dignity uses a "Triple Threat” Criteria, and is intended strictly for
individuals, and families who live with them, who meet the following criteria:
  1. At highest risk based on CDC guidelines for COVID-19.
  2. Ineligible or currently not being served    by any community organizations for provision of prepared meals to their homes
  3. Financially unable to meet their food needs without leaving home, and no reliable support system of friends or family to assist

DwD is powered by volunteer FOOD HEROES
Meals are prepared by Liberty Restaurant with donated food in cooperation with other non-profits.  If you know someone who could benefit from Delivering with Dignity, refer them to 775.391.0525 to see if they qualify.

YOU can Sign up to be a FOOD HERO at http://uwnns.org/dwd  (Tell them you are from REno South Rotary!) As many days and stops as you are willing, no contact with clients.
