Yo, Adrienne!

Meeting May 2, 2019

Heidi Kiene - Founder I Am Zambia

We learned about an amazing program, and how the efforts and passion of just 1-2 people can profoundly affect our world for the better.  Which should further inspire us as to what we can accomplish in Rotary!

This program is fast becoming self sustaining, and you can learn more about how to help and empower young women in Zambia by checking out their web site:

We really need a Rotary Exchange Student 1st host family in the Galena or Damonte Ranch High School zone.  We can't actually enroll the student or even let them come over until we have a real address.  Don't miss this opportunity to learn about another culture, and see ours through their eyes.  Anyone who has hosted will tell you it is well worth it!!!   Contact Dan with any ideas or to volunteer!!

Grants Management Training:  we need more members trained in Rotary Grants Management so RSR can continue to be qualified for District and International grants.  Sessions are under an hour.  More information upcoming.  Next date May 20 - registration info upcoming.

Volunteer Opportunities:

Are you aware of any opportunities for service that Reno South Rotary and our members could participate in? Activities such as helping the Girl Scouts open their camp, assisting Harvest of Hope to make hygiene kits or deliver Thanksgiving meals, or other ideas are welcome.  let your President and Board know.

Congratulations Past President Justin!
