Manal Toppozada, Executive Director of the Note-Ables, will be invited back to speak on another occasion as she was unable to present. Holly Walton-Buchanon suffered a choking incident, and after club members' efforts to assist, was taken to the hospital. She is expected to be released on Thursday, May 12.

What's Ahead for RSR

Beginning July 1, Reno South Rotary is going solo, returning to Thursday meetings and will no longer meet jointly with Reno Central Rotary. RSR's intrepid committee (Prez Bob, Prez-elects Tori and Press, VP Denny, and PP Jonnie) have been diligently scouring possible locations. Altho the Committee thinks it has an outstanding location beginning in October, we need an interim location, and believe we have found one!

Also, strongly under consideration is moving our meeting time to 4:00 p.m., which may attract some of the younger crowd, as well eliminate some "work crunch". Please let your Board members know your thoughts on this idea.

Alexsis Adams, Communities in Schools (recent awardee of a $1,000,000+ grant from McKenzie (Bezos) Scott.

Alexsis will share her experiences in and the mission of Communities in Schools (CIS). CIS of Nevada works within the public school system, determining student needs and establishing relationships with local businesses, social service agencies, health care providers, and parent and volunteer organizations to provide needed resources.

We in Rotary know about the value and impact of relationships--hopefully this will lead to more relationships and opportunities.

All-club meeting at the Claim Jumper meeting room on June 2 to discuss meeting dates and time and to begin planning for our next Rotary year. Time will be confirmed in the next bulletin.
