From November 7 Meeting:

Manal Toppozada, Founder and Executive Director of Note-Able Music Therapy Services informed us of the history and the newest collaborations that this program is engaged in. Note-Able Music Therapy Services' main objective is to create lasting change in the lives of people of all abilities through music. Manal founded the organization 16 years ago with twelve adults with disabilities. Since then, this program now serves more than 1,800 people per year in all of their programs such as Adaptive Music Programs and Music Therapy Services. Through collaboration and partnerships, Note-Able Music Therapy Services finds innovative ways to address the physical, social, and mental health needs of our community through music. Two new collaborations are with Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada and Bella Voce which formed the Truckee River Choir to focus on reaching individuals experiencing homelessness and the Washoe County Sheriff's Office to provide group music sessions in the Mental Health Unit of the jail.
