Valentine's Day

What better day to renew your wedding vows after 61 years of marital bliss??

We celebrated Valentine's Day with a special luncheon and surprise program. Many Rotarians, their spouses and/or significant others witnessed John and Liz Howe renew their wedding vows along with many friends, neighbors and members of the Howe family.

Special thanks to Joel Muller for his creativity in planning this very special Valentine's Day luncheon and program!

Congrats to District 5190 MVP Joel Muller:

District Governor Tina Spencer-Mulhern presented our own Joel Muller with an MVP award and certificate for the many contributions he has made to District 5190, and particularly Area 8. Joel has served as Assistant District Governor for Area 8 in the past and is currently Chair of the District 5190 Community Service Committee.

Feb 21 - Heather Keenan, Yoga for Trauma Victims

Feb 26 - Reno South Rotary Board of Directors meeting - 7:30 am at Mimi's Cafe. All members are welcome.

Feb 28 - Carol Klove, Learn about the Tournament of Roses Parade (with pictures!) from a person who has worked with the organization for 30 years!

March 1 - Tahoe City Rotary's 43rd Annual Ski Challenge - Northstar at Tahoe

March 7 - RSR Student Speech Contest. The winner moves on to compete for a scholarship!

March 14 Vocational Tour of the Harrah Military Museum - the largest collection of military Jeeps. More details later.

April 6 - Club Leadership Assembly will be held 4/6 at The Nugget, in Sparks, NV. Every club’s leadership team plus new members and all other interested club members should sign up to see next year’s vision and to start building the plan for your club’s 2019- 20 year. Registration on the district website. Contact Robin Milam for more info at robin@the-milams.com.

April 27 - Rotarians at Work Day - be ready to roll up your sleeves at Robinhood Park.

Service Opportunities

We need someone to take notes at the next two meetings (Feb 21 & 28) for Bob Stewart, who will produce the bulletin while the editor is taking a long trip...and someone to take pictures. Please contact Bob or Prez Adrienne.
