 June 1st
Recap of our Last Meeting

"Club Visioning and Strategic Planning for the Future - Join the Conversation"

Eleven members of Reno South Rotary gathered together on June 1st to review and synthesize the preliminary report issued by the District 5190 Visioning Team as the result of  the recent Visioning Session.

A summary of both the May 18th Visioning Session and the June 1st "conversation" will be shared with all members very soon as we continue to fine tune the Vision and Strategic Plan for Reno South Rotary's future.

The Rotary Club of Reno South has regular meetings on the first and third Thursdays of each month.
Join us at Macaroni Grill for the final meeting of this Rotary year on Thursday, June 15. The meeting will begin promptly at 4:15 pm.

June 15 - Isabella!
As her Rotary Youth Exchange (RYE) tenure comes to a close, our delightful RYE student, Isabel Landette Martinez, will share about her US adventures this past year as well as her home culture of Spain.

She will also likely share some of her impressions of America's culture. Like, The Fabulous Hot Dog! If there is such a thing as authentic American cuisine, then a typical concessions menu would qualify. The Hot Dog, as we know it today, was invented by Harry M. Stevens, one of the very early American concessionaires. He would send his venders/hawkers into the local Polish pubs of Chicago to bring sausages into the ballpark to sell as "Hot Dogs".

Shown above enjoying a Fabulous Hot Dog L-R: Isabella Landette Martinez, Reno South Rotary's RYE student from Spain; Mette Moabek, Reno Rotary's RYE student from Denmark; Noelle Dyer, friend who's family recently hosted Mette; and Katie Muff, friend who's family recently hosted Isabella.
