Imagine a Year of "Doing Good in the World"

The Rotary Club of Reno South is approaching our 50th year of being a club. We are excited to roll up our sleeves together, and continue to "Do Good in the World."

Starting July 7th, 2022, we will be meeting at a new time and location. Be sure to check out our Club Calendar so you know where to find us.

Our club has also committed to organizing service projects and fun activities every month. This means less formal meetings and more impact!

We are looking forward to strengthening our service to the community, and reaching our 50th birthday as a Club in 2023-24. If you are looking for a new service-oriented group of good people to meet and "Do Good in the World," please consider joining us.

Here are some accomplishments from our 2021-22 Rotary Year, all thanks to our members:
  • Remained a contributing member of The Rotary Foundation as an “Every Member Every Year” club.
  • Cleared debris from a wildfire and planted trees in Washoe Lake State Park.
  • Strengthened our involvement with the Achievement Beyond Obstacles scholarship program.
  • Provided a donation to local non-profit, Care Chest of Sierra Nevada.
  • Assisted Reno Initiative for Shelter & Equality (RISE) with Thanksgiving feast
  • Met in-person jointly with the Rotary Club of Reno Central each week, a great way for our clubs to bounce back together.
  • Recycled Christmas trees in coordination with Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful (KTMB) and the Rotary Club of Reno Central.
  • Packaged food at the Food Bank of Northern Nevada with Reno Central

Jonnie Pullman will lead our RI Foundation giving effort this year. She plans to use the tried and true "third, a third and a third" plan where if you put up a third of the amount needed to earn your next (or first) Paul Harris Fellow designation, the club will put up a third and the final third will come from points accumulated and donated by your fellow members for this effort.
